I have to record for the third year in succession a
reduction in the number of cases of Diphtheria and
Scarlet Fever, there being 223 cases of Diphtheria
and 332 cases of Scarlet Fever compared with 330
and 414 respectively in the previous year.
I am pleased to place on record my appreciation
to the members of the Public Health Committee
for their many courtesies, and their earnest and
sympathetic consideration of all problems relating
to the public health. My thanks are also due to
my colleagues in other departments for their help
and co-operation on many matters and to the public
health staff throughout for their loyal and efficient
support.
